Superseding the award-winning TRAX series, the new super slimline GPS series sees Uniden continue its commitment to providing drivers with the most realistic car navigation experience and exceptionally easy operation at an affordable price. The IGO50 is a Sleek and Stylish unit which features a bright and intuitive touch-screen display and is no thicker than an iPhone.
Making its debut alongside Uniden’s renowned 3D mapping technology is a new Junction View feature which illustrates upcoming intersections. Used in conjunction with Advanced Lane Guidance, Signpost Information and Spoken Street Names, this new feature further ensure drivers receive the most accurate turn-by-turn instructions. The new GPS series has the latest school zones, fixed speed, red light cameras and railway crossings allowing any user to be assured that they have one of the most up to date software in the market.
An innovative Green Routing tool leads the GPS series’ other new features. By calculating fuel consumption and carbon emissions across a number of route options, the driver can then select the journey which will have the smallest environmental impact. Alternatively, the
system is also capable of calculating the fastest, shortest or easiest route from the available options.
The screen is super bright, removing glare for crystal clear viewing. It also switches automatically to night mode for easy, glare-free viewing after dark. Predictive keyboard text also reduces the destination search time and if drivers make a wrong turn in a pre-programmed destination, the system will recalculate directions immediately.
Supported by Naviextras, the IGO50 GPS unit comes with a Latest Map Guarantee, eliminating any worries drovers may have about out of date or incomplete maps. While the GPS Series was designed specifically for Australia and New Zealand, additional mapping for more than 70 countries and voice guidance in 43 languages can be downloaded fromwww.naviextras.com Rent-A-Map is also available at this site which makes global mapping a more affordable and practical option when travelling overseas.
Off Road Mapping too
Another feature we have developed at Autotainment is the addition of our Offroad mapping interface. Via an easy to use opening screen you can choose between the Uniden`s original on-road mapping or Hema maps via OziExplorer for the off road adventures. This is a very easy to use interface and will allow you to swap between on and off road use with ease.

HEMA Raster Maps 2011 edition
To utilize the off-road capabilities fully you will need some off road maps. With the growing use of in-car navigation Hema Maps has produced a collection of raster maps on DVD. This DVD is based on images of Hema's regional maps and is compatible with the Uniden systems.
