The Gotcha Early Warning Parking Sensor is one of the most advanced self contained class 1 laser automotive parking sensors and remote control systems in the world.
The system is designed to assist the driver when parking a vehicle, preventing damage to the bodywork. As well as warning of approaching hazards.
The Gotcha Early Warning Parking Sensor uses high quality Class 1 lasers and lenses. The unit is supplied with a TWO laser sensors, which can be fitted to either the front or the rear of the vehicle. Additional laser sensor heads are available which plug into the same junction box. Therefor we can sell this unit as a 2 or 4 sensor kit.
The unit uses the license free 904nm laser frequency. The same frequency is also used by several motor manufacturers. Nissan’s adaptive cruise control, for example, uses laser to determine the distance immediately in-front of the vehicle and to de-activate the cruise control if the stopping distance is considered to be too short.
N.A.S.A also uses it to help dock the shuttle, and road engineers use them for mapping and surveying. Police laser guns also use the same 904nm frequency to help judge your speed.
To prevent interference with other laser based systems the Gotcha Early Warning Parking Sendor is designed to alert the driver of possible interference and if necessary, switch the system off. If new
laser frequencies are ever allocated, then the unit can be upgraded by a qualified technician.
